Fireworks Tube Mud Filling Machine for Clay Base and Plug Forming
Clay bases and plugs close the ends of fireworks tubes and must be uniform for the product to perform consistently. PyroEquip builds tube mud filling machines that fill and press clay into whole trays of tubes at once, replacing slow manual tamping with a controlled, repeatable process.

What the machine does
A tray of tubes is positioned under the filling head, clay is fed and distributed into every tube, and a pressing stroke compacts it to the set depth. The tray then moves on to the next station. Inner-tube and outer-tube versions are available.
Uniform pressing gives consistent plug density, which reduces rejects and keeps downstream filling and assembly stations running smoothly.
Key features
- Whole-tray filling and pressing for high throughput
- Adjustable pressing depth and force via machine settings
- Versions for inner tubes and outer tubes
- Robust frame and wear-resistant contact parts
- Guarding and emergency stops
- Conveyor links to tube, filling and sealing stations
Where it sits in the production line
Mud filling is used both for base forming after tube making and for top plugging after filling. Many lines therefore use two mud filling stations. We plan their position, tray handling and conveyors as part of the full line layout.
Frequently asked questions
What is a fireworks tube mud filling machine used for?
It fills and presses clay into tube ends to form bases or plugs in licensed fireworks production, working on full trays of tubes.
Is there a version for inner tubes?
Yes. PyroEquip offers inner-tube and outer-tube mud filling machines; tooling is matched to your tube sizes.
Can it replace manual tamping?
Yes. Mechanised pressing gives more uniform plugs than hand tamping and reduces labour on this step.
How is it priced?
Pricing depends on tray size, tooling and automation. Use our RFQ form with your tube drawings for a quotation.
